LegendsNation.com to Merge into New ML
Website
[07-07-12] On Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012, STIX
FX Entertainment, parent company of LegendsNation.com (“LN”), the premier
Legends Car and Bandolero news media website online, announced the re-birth of
MotorsportsLounge.com (“ML”). Today, July 7th, it has been announced LN
will merge into the new ML website with Legends Car and Bandolero news and
information to be a big part of the website.
“We have been extremely excited to make this
announcement for some time,” said Jason “Stix” Buckley, President of STIX FX
Entertainment. ... announcement continued

“We wanted to hold off a bit longer before
officially announcing MotorsportsLounge.com was coming back and the merger of
the websites, but the information was starting to leak out, so we decided it was
time to make the announcement.”
In April, 2012, five years after LN was
announced, STIX FX Entertainment published a news story regarding the future of
the website. The new “LN Project” was made known, but little details were
announced at that time.
“We knew at that time we were going to be
merging LN into the new ML, but we weren’t ready to announce the name change, so
we called it the LN project,” explained Buckley. “We were trying to quiet
down the rumors then that the website was closing. Many of the rumors were
started by others trying to copy our business model then profit from it, and
others due to the lack of posting news directly on the LN website. We
stopped developing LN on its own to focus on the new ML
website.”
MotorsportsLounge.com, founded in 2001 by
STIX FX Entertainment, became the largest and most prestigious official message
board hosting service for drivers, tracks, series and teams in
motorsports. The website was shut down after the websites Facebook.com and
Twitter.com took over the social media world. While the new focus is being
kept quiet, there will be some old elements mixed in with new concepts for the
ML website.
“We have a lot of ideas and formulas
currently in the works for the new website. Some are things people are
used to online, and a few others are a blend of some old and new concepts never
before seen in the online motorsports world. We are very excited to roll
through the build phases and push our concepts out to the
public.”
Even though the specifics haven’t been made
public yet, one thing Buckley has made known is that Legends and Bandolero news
and information will continue to be a big part of the ML
website.
“We are NOT abandoning the Legends and
Bandolero community,” said Buckley. “Instead we are using them to be a big
part of the foundation of the new website.
“We have some great sponsors that have
been with us for a long time, but it has been a struggle over the past few years
keeping LegendsNation.com going with full funding. It isn’t due to a lack
of support from the drivers and teams, but more about the scale cars being very
niche in the motorsports world. We have approached multi-million dollar
companies with our new ML concept and we are now getting some financial backing
we couldn’t get with LN. This is good news for the Legends and Bandolero
community as they will now receive more international coverage and traffic on
the new website than LN has been able to provide in the
past.”
Multiple announcements will continue to be
made in the coming weeks as the development of the MotorsportsLounge.com website
will take place.
