$500 Bonus to Highest Finishing Driver that Transfers Entry to North-South Shoot-Out
Salem, IN (November 2, 2009) – The management at Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville announced today that the rescheduled All American Weekend has officially been canceled for the 2009 season and will not be rescheduled. Additional details and comments on the cancellation will follow soon.
Officials with Champion Racing Association have announced that any teams that were entered for the CRA Super Series All American event, that transfer that entry to this weekend's North/South Shootout 125 Presented by WearCrete Diamond Concrete Polishing at Concord Speedway, will be eligible to receive an additional $500 bonus from Hoosier Asphalt South. The highest finishing driver that transfers their entry from Nashville to the Concord event will receive the $500 bonus. There are already $500 bonuses for the top finishing team from each group: CRA/PASS/Blizzard Series/"All Others". That's too bad, but I figured this was going to happen.
Thanks for all the races CRA sanctioned at the track.

Let's see.
1. Track's future is in jeopardy
2. I was told the track hasn't had a good year financially. This is an expensive race for the track to host.
3. There was already a CRA race scheduled for September that was cancelled.
4. Up until five weeks before the race it was advertised to be 400 laps, then shortened to 250 laps because they couldn't pay a purse for 400 lapper.
5. Race is postponed last week because of impending weather. There was rain forecasted for Friday PM and Saturday AM. The race was on Sunday.
6. Promoter is having second thoughts of including support divsions.
7. It was posted as tentatively rescheduled, nothing definite.
There ya go, all red flags in my book.
Somebody could come on here and tell me I'm totally wrong it was for different reasons. I hope I'm wrong, I love that track and some of the best times of my life have been watching these CRA races there.

I sure hope the Nashville Fairgrounds is not demolished and continues having races in the future but if it is closed for good I wonder if there is any chance the AA400 will be moved to another track. Gresham Motorsports Park would be a great track to run the AA400. Just my opinion.

I was thinking about that today. The AA 400 at Gresham. I would make the trip down for that.
I have to get one more race in this year and since no Nashville, I guess I'm gonna have to head down to Snowball Derby. I haven't been for a few years, but man it's a long drive to Pensacola.

This weekends show will be an awesome one....in years past anything that has ran with the Mod's at the North South Shootout has put on a heck of a show.....would love to see more of the CRA regulars show up....the track is wicked fast and theres NO chance of rain.....plus its going to be nationally televised.

Snowball, I live in Anderson, IN. I've made the trip to Pensacola a few times. It's not all that bad, but it's a pretty good hike. Not unless something comes up I should be there this year.

i recommend the race be moved to Irwindale where it could become the "TOYOTA all american 400", 2nd choice would be Winchester so that the debate over whether the Snowball Derby or the Winchester All American 400 is better could be belabored forever
